“Sol” is my depiction of the Roman God of Sun. In ancient Roman mythology, Sol is sister to Luna. Together, Sol and Luna provide the balance between day and night. As a part of the “Equinox” collection, this piece plays with the idea of the end of winter and equal length of night and day at this time.
Hand stitched onto linen.
Piece measures 22 x 32.5 cm. This piece is complete with a sewn in hanging sleeve for the use of a dowel (as pictured). Please note frame or dowel is not included.
