Luna Original Textile Wall Hanging

“Luna” is my interpretation of the Roman Goddess by the same name. Similarly to Selene, Greek Goddess of the Moon, she is often depicted as a beautiful woman with a crescent moon on her forehead. Luna is sister to Sol, God of The Sun, and together they provide the balance between day and night. As a part of the “Equinox” collection, this piece plays with the idea of the end of winter and equal length of night and day at this time.

Hand stitched onto linen.

Piece measures 22.5 x 33 cm. Could be hung using a simple magnetic frame (see images) or using a dowel. The piece is complete with a sewn in hanging sleeve for the use of a dowel.
